National Blue Ribbon School

The US Department of Education Secretary Dr. John B. King, Jr., announced that Saint Juliana School is a National Blue Ribbon School! Only 50 private schools are honored with this distinction each year, along with select public schools. In order to be nominated, a Blue Ribbon school must demonstrate superior academic achievement, with assessment scores that in the top ten percent in the nation. That we received this award is due in large part to the endless support of our community: the families and parishioners who support our hard-working students, faculty and staff both on our campus and at home.

Schools are nominated for the award by the state department of education, and then complete a comprehensive application about school practices. Schools may apply for status as Exemplary High Performing—among the top schools in a state—or Exemplary Achievement Gap Closing—schools making the fastest progress in the their state in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
