Confirmation

Children enrolled in Saint Juliana School and our CCD program are formally prepared for the sacrament of Confirmation in sixth and seventh grade. A parent-child meeting is held during the preparation period. Special Confirmation liturgies are held throughout the year for those preparing for the reception of the sacrament, which is celebrated in early May of each year.

Through Confirmation our young adults are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit, and strengthened in their Christian life which began with the sacrament of Baptism. A bishop from the Archdiocese of Chicago concelebrates the liturgy with our priests and deacons, and personally confirms each candidate.

Adults (age 18+) who are interested in converting to Catholicsm receive instruction and preparation on an individual basis through the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) program.
