SVDP Conference at St. Juliana Parish will be collecting household items for the Fisher House at Hines VA Hospital before and after all Masses on the weekend of May 23–24. Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for families of veterans receiving medical care, allowing them to stay close to their loved ones at no cost. Your support helps make that possible.
Suggested donation items include:
- Paper towels, napkins, facial tissues, toilet paper
- Hot/cold cups (with lids)
- K-cup coffee pods, individual creamers and sugars
- Individually packaged snacksPlastic food storage bags/containers
- Liquid laundry detergent, dryer sheets
- Dish soap and dishwasher tablets
- Pump-style hand soap (white), notepads, pens
Also needed:
Household cleaning supplies (Pledge, Endust, Lysol spray, stainless steel wipes, etc.) Travel-size personal care items (toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, toiletries)
Gift cards are especially helpful, including: Jewel, Aldi, Target, Portillo’s, Panera, Jimmy John’s, Subway, and similar stores/restaurants. Monetary donations are also welcome (cash or checks payable to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society).
