Below is a brief description of many of our programs:
Teachers’ Wish List - Each teacher may submit receipts to be reimbursed for school supplies of their choice.
Teachers’ Inspiring Idea Awards - Each teacher may submit a grant proposal for funding of a project that will benefit the students in their grade level.
Teacher Appreciation Luncheon(s) – Lunch is provided for our teachers once or twice a year during parent/teacher conferences or a faculty in-service day. Food always makes our teachers happy and this makes their day a little less hectic.
Hot Lunch - One day a month, hot lunch is provided (for a small fee) as an alternative to brown bag lunch. You will receive a letter with all of the dates and necessary information. Volunteers are needed to help serve the kids.
Wrapping Paper Sale and Taffy Apple Sale - Order forms will arrive home in your children’s folders when these annual events take place. Volunteers are needed to distribute these orders.
Big Night Out – A grownups only night in the gym! Music, food, drinks and lots of fun. Volunteers are needed to make the night a success.
Grandparents’ Mass and Reception - We invite grandparents to the gym for refreshments and snacks after they visit their grandchildren’s classrooms. A chair/co-chair volunteer (any grade) is needed to run this event.
Raffle Calendar Sale - This fundraiser gives you many chances to win throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to assist with sales.
Spring Flower Sale - Order forms will be sent home in your children’s folders when this annual event takes place. A local grower delivers beautiful herb, vegetable and flower plants to our parking lot. Delivery occurs in time for Mother’s Day. Your order can be delivered to your back yard or porch for a small additional fee. Volunteers are needed to unload, sort and deliver orders.
Barnes and Noble Book Fair - Located at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore in Skokie (Village Crossing), the store donates a percentage of the book sales from our school’s purchases for the day. Some of the St. Juliana staff will read to the children throughout the day.
Communion, Confirmation and Graduation Receptions - After the event concludes in the church, the families of the recipients are invited back to the gym for a reception that includes beverages, light snacks and background displays for photo opportunities. The grade behind the sacrament/graduation is asked to sponsor these events.
School Tool Box Kits - As a time saver, we utilize a company that provides each grade’s school supplies, as defined by the teachers. You may place your order in the spring for the following school year and then pick them up in August.
