Ms. Baumeister Room 9

Hi Families! My name is Ms. Baumeister, and I am ecstatic to be continue being a part of the 1st grade team at St. Juliana! I can’t wait to get to know each and every one of the students and create connections with them throughout this new school year.

While attending Loyola Academy High School in Wilmette, I discovered my love of teaching. I graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education. I previously taught Kindergarten for two years at Immaculate Conception St. Joseph. Chicago is my hometown, and I am so happy to teach in the city I grew up in.

Since I will be getting to know each of the students, I want to share some fun facts about myself as well. My family loves spending time together playing board games. Some of our favorite games are Catan and Ticket to Ride. As well, I love to push myself to try new things whether it is baking a new type of cookie or developing a new skill in Crossfit. I strive to incorporate students' interests and goals by trying new things throughout activities in the classroom.
