Week of January 8

Happy New Year! Wow, I can't believe it's 2024! I hope everyone had a very restful and enjoyable holiday.

 

We are jumping right back into things! 

In sixth grade, we are learning about the four outer planets in the solar system this week. The definitions and facts for this are going to be due tomorrow. There will be a study guide for homework on Wednesday night, and then our quiz will be on Friday.

 

In seventh grade, we are continuing our discussion on the structure of DNA. There will be a study guide for homework on Wednesday night, and then our quiz will be on Friday.

 

In eighth grade, we are learning about pulleys, wheels and axles, and compound machines this week. The definitions and facts for this will be due tomorrow. There will be a study guide for homework on Wednesday night, and then our quiz will be on Friday. 

 

In regards to Science Fair, the research papers have been graded in PowerSchool as of yesterday evening. I will be going through Google Classroom over the next couple days for specific comments. As discussed, the students should be working on their experiments at this point. I will be posting an expanded update later on this week.
