Mr. Brandon Brazell » Week of April 15

Week of April 15

Happy Monday! I apologize for sending this out later in the morning than usual. I hope everyone is enjoying this nicer weather that we're having!

In sixth grade, we are getting ready to take our quiz tomorrow. This quiz is on Chapter 1 of the new book. After the quiz, we will get started on Chapter 2, with the quiz for Chapter 2 being next Thursday, April 25. As I mentioned in class, I am going by chapter rather than lesson so that we can get through this book. It is not more information than we've been doing. I do not expect the students to know every piece of information from each chapter. I am going through the chapters beforehand and picking the information that they need to know, rather than trying to cover the whole chapter. I hope this makes sense!

In seventh grade, we are getting ready to take our quiz tomorrow. We have been discussing how fossils are dated and the geologic time scale of the Earth. After this lesson, we will discussing dinosaurs, which I am very excited about. Tentatively, the quiz on dinosaurs is currently scheduled for next Thursday, April 25. I will let you know if that changes.

In eighth grade, we are getting ready to take our quiz tomorrow. This lesson has been on static electricity and all that entails. After this lesson, we will be moving on to electric currents, which I am very excited about. The tentative quiz date for this next lesson will be next Thursday, April 25. I will let you know if that changes.

I also wanted to give everyone a reminder about our Timothy's Ministry service project. We are taking donations, of money and/or supplies, all week this week. The students should have received a list last week of what they can bring, but if you have any questions about what to bring please let me know.

Thank you for your continued support during this schoolyear. Let's finish the year strong!

Thanks,
Mr. Brazell
