Welcome Room 9 - First Grade!

Hello and Welcome to a new school year. I am Mrs. O'Connor and can't wait for our new year to begin. This is my 6th year teaching first grade and my 9th year at SJS. I come from the great state of Iowa. I graduated from St. Ambrose University, with a degree in Psychology and from The University of Iowa, with my degree in Elementary Education. This past spring/summer, I completed my Reading Specialist Endorsement, from Northeastern Illinois University.. My husband and I have 3 children. Our oldest two attend Loyola Academy and our youngest will be in 7th grade here at SJS. In September 2020, after much persuasion from the kids, we welcomed our black lab Mack to our family. I am looking forward to a great school year.
