Week of September 18, 2023

Thank you to the group of 7th graders who volunteered to help the Mothers' Club with the mum delivery on Saturday morning. The students were here at 9:45 to help unload the truck and many of them stayed to help with the pick up until 12:30. I was here working in my classroom so I was able to see that they did a GREAT job. Thank you, 7th graders. You are the best.

 

We are hosting a high school fair for our junior high students on Tuesday, October 3rd from 6:00-7:30 (I think that's the correct time--if that's not correct, it would be from 6:30-8:00). I will let you know the time for sure but I'm pretty sure that it's 6:00-7:30. I just don't have the time available at the moment. There will be at least 10 high schools here that evening. Please feel free to stop in with your child to meet some of the high schools and receive information from them. This event is mainly for the 6th and 7th grade parents (most of the 8th graders have either already shadowed at the schools or will be doing that soon so they are more familiar with the high schools) but 8th grade parents are more than welcome to attend.

 

Wednesday is picture day. Just a reminder that the 8th graders will have graduation pictures taken later in the year.

 

Thursday is the Springfield trip for the 7th and 8th graders.

 

6th Religion: starting a new chapter today

 

7th Religion: chapter 2 test on Wednesday. 

Our Confirmation retreat is on Sunday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine in DesPlaines. Students need to arrive by 7;45. Mass is at 11:00--parents are welcome to join us for Mass. You have received the information about the retreat and signed off on the slip that I sent home so I know everyone has received it. If you are not planning to come for Mass, please pick up your child at 12:00. I'm looking forward to the retreat.
