Week of November 13, 2023

7th grade families: thank you so much for the great attendance at our Confirmation acceptance Mass yesterday. There were a few families that were unable to attend but all of them had informed me of this prior to yesterday. Thanks so much for your support.

 

Thanks in advance to my students who will be volunteering this weekend at various parish events. I will have kids working at the Craft Fair (some of them will be here at 7:00 AM) and Cookie Walk on Saturday. I will also have kids helping at all of the weekend Masses with the Saint Vincent DePaul food drive. The people who run these events always tell me how invaluable the help from the kids is. Sometimes people think that the 7th graders are the only ones who volunteer for service because of Confirmation requirements but that is not the case. For example: this weekend there are many 8th graders who are helping with the Craft Fair and Cookie Walk and food drive. 6th graders might be helping with the food drive. I teach my students that we do service not just because it is required in 7th grade but just because that's who we are. Thank you for sending such wonderful young people to SJS. They are awesome.

 

In religion classes this week, we are finishing up a few things to end the trimester.
