Week of October 30, 2023

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend---I think our warm weather is a thing of the past.

 

Thank you to the group of 7th grade girls who helped out at the Girl Scouts Halloween party on last Wednesday evening. The girls spent almost 2 hours helping with the younger girls.

 

Thank you, also, to the 4 7th graders who have volunteered to carry the statue of the Blessed Virgin in procession at the 9:30 Mass on Sunday.

 

On Tuesday, Halloween, the 8th graders will be hosting a Halloween party/carnival for the Kindergarten students. This event has been a tradition for many years and I know that the 8th graders will do a great job on Tuesday. Thanks, 8th graders, for doing this for our younger students.

 

6th Religion: 6th graders will receive their Bibles from Father John in a short ceremony on Tuesday in the chapel. They will use these Bibles for their junior high years at SJS.

 

7th Religion: Reminder about the Confirmation acceptance Mass on November 12 at the 9:30 Mass. I do understand that there are circumstances that occur occasionally where you and your child are unable to attend. Please send me an email if this is the case so that I'm aware that your child is not able to be there.

 

8th Religion: Starting a new chapter in our religion text this week.
