6^th Grade

-        - We compared what life was like in the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages.

-        - We learned how the first cities began and how they turned into civilizations.

-        - Next week: Quest (big quiz/small test) and notebook check on Thursday.

7^th Grade

-        - We looked at European territorial claims in the Americas

-        - We examined primary sources to construct an argument answering the question “Was Christopher Columbus a Hero?”

-        - Next week: Quest (big quiz/small test) and notebook check on Wednesday.

8^th Grade

-        - We looked at the origins of the Industrial Revolution in America.

-        - We examined whether the biggest entrepreneurs of the late 19th and early 20th century were robber barons or captains of industry.

-        - Next week: Debate- Robber Baron or Captain of Industry

September 21- 7^th and 8^th grade trip to Springfield
