6th Grade - - We analyzed life in Athens and Sparta and made flags to represent which city-state we would prefer to live in. - - We learned what factors influenced the outcome of the Greco-Persian wars. - - Next Week: The major cultural achievements of Greece and Alexander the Great . |
7th Grade - - We created presentations on the motives, hardships, and legacies of the groups that moved west in the 1800s. - - We analyzed primary sources on the California Gold Rush and tried to strike it rich in California! - - Next Week: Manifest Destiny Quest on Wednesday.

8th Grade - - We watched “A Day in Auschwitz” to understand that the Holocaust was something that happened to actual people, not just an event in history. - - We analyzed primary sources for a better understanding of the Home Front during WWII. - - Next Week: how WWII affected American’s lives at home |
