6^th Grade

-        - We learned about the history and beliefs of Judaism.

-        - We took a short open-note quiz on Kush and Judaism.

-        - Next week: Ancient India

7^th Grade

-        - We completed our unit on the American Revolution.

-        -We covered units 1-5 of the Constitution workbook.

-        - Next Week: Units 6-12 of the Constitution workbook., Quiz Tuesday

-        - US Constitution Test: Tuesday, December 5.  Passing is 76%.

8^th Grade

-        - We learned the arguments for and against US expansion at the turn of the 20th century.

-        - We understood the role yellow journalism played in the reporting of the Spanish-American War.

-        - Next week: Intervention in Latin America and the Panama Canal

Important Dates:

November 17: end of first trimester

November 22-24: no school, Happy Thanksgiving!

Notes:

As communicated yesterday in Thursday Thoughts, access to PowerSchool will be shut down on Monday, November 13. This gives teachers time to calculate grades in preparation for the end of the trimester. We have communicated this with the students and they know the expectations for each teacher as to when late or missing work needs to be turned in for the trimester. Thank you!
