-         - We learned how geographic challenges led to the rise of city-states in Mesopotamia.

-        - We examined why historians classify Sumer as a civilization.

-        - Next week: The Empires of Mesopotamia

7^th Grade

-        - We worked on our Colony brochure

-        - Next week: Colony project due Tuesday. (100 points)

        Salem Witchcraft Trials and the Atlantic Slave Trade

8^th Grade

-        - We made picket signs to learn about major strikes of the late 1800s and early 1900s.

-       Next week: Inventions of the Industrial Revolution

       Test on industrialization and notebook check on Friday.
